This fine silver sun pendant was carefully formed from precious metal clay using a handmade mold taken from a mother-of-pearl moon carving. Precious metal clay is a soft, moldable clay composed of fine silver particles suspended in an organic binder, allowing for delicate detail and tactile shaping. When the piece is fired, the binder burns away, leaving behind a solid fine silver pendant that preserves the original carving’s subtle details.
