This charming crescent moon is composed of solid fine silver.
The pendant was first formed from a handcarved wax crescent moon. A mold was then made of the wax moon and then precious metal clay was used to form the moon.
Precious metal clay is a soft, moldable clay composed of fine silver particles suspended in an organic binder, allowing for delicate detail and tactile shaping. When the piece is fired, the binder burns away, leaving behind a solid fine silver pendant that preserves the original carving’s subtle details.
Suspended from an 18” 14k gold fill chain. A 3” extender can be added upon request at checkout.
Pendant measures 18.5 inches long.
